Service is our passion

Established building unique family restaurants Scalawags and Market Cafe dating back to 1994, we continue today with a variety of venues fitting of their community. Fudi specializes in the transformation of historic buildings and communities though we’ve also consulted on dozens of projects outside our own portfolio. 

Today, Fudi Group is a diverse group of mostly high end eateries and bars, specializing in quality ingredients served in approachable settings. Founding concept designer, Kenneth Emery, grew up in Detroit Michigan cementing the belief that all people belong in all settings. No one should be left feeling less than, no matter the ingredient or environment. Fudi loves great food, equally appreciating all the diverse followers that appreciate what food settings do for community. 

We’ve always shared, “imagine 200 people coming to your home every night the rest of your life.” That is the essence of hospitality, and a reality few people can imagine undertaking. Hospitality is not for the weak of hearts, and the Fudi Group has endured that test. Having grown from one venue to five is another journey we are so grateful for, even if unplanned. Our mission is unique, family style, community driven restaurants. Each benefiting the community to such a point we continue to be invited to develop more. Big or small, our intention continues to be a benefit to each community, place our staff as top priority, all while bringing excellent ingredients and value to our valued patrons.
